Obama and the Roman Catholic Bishops: Are the Latter Servile Dogs?

Novena and prayers are, quite urgently, needed for the National Conference of Catholic Bishops so that its functionally jaded members may, finally, develop the so needed spiritual courage to greatly resist evil by courting, if required, martyrdom. But, that spectacular development would, one guesses, require a true miracle; one may surmise that miracles, unexpectedly, are rather scarce these days, though not impossible as is known.

As Fr. George Rutler had, correctly, put it in the poignant title of one of his interesting and compelling book, there is, truly, A Crisis of Saints. Few, if any, mainstream or typical bishops are, e. g., really lining up quite eagerly to be potential martyrs, to feel the full brunt of persecution in a straight manner.

With the recent, direct, unmitigated assault upon the Roman Catholic Church that was made by the Obama Administration, regarding the vile, Satanic mandating of institutional support for contraception and abortion services, the massive persecution of the Church continues, as it has for at least the past 40 years. Will the Rev. Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s sagacious warning, sooner rather than later, be heeded? Or, among other questions, will traditional, vindictive, American anti-Catholic bigotry prevail?

Some would reasonably argue, however, that this deliberate and well-planned persecution, mainly, though not exclusively, by the forces and powers of the ideological Left, has been going on for much longer. And yet, the truly real target of actual and intended violation, by Obama and his followers, is the US Constitution itself, not just the First Amendment, religious liberty for all Americans.

The Consequences of Evil Being Accepted

Of course, it is now remarkably clear that the State, the Federal government, and Obama has and will much further intensify the significant extent, depth, and range of attack, which ought to have been very easily expected. After all, the (predominantly) worthless bishops, meaning the National Catholic Conference of Bishops (NCCB), had, willingly and knowingly, endorsed Obamacare, why then are they, thus, now so (absurdly) surprised? It almost seems a bad joke, not to mention a national nightmare.

Oh, yes, at least 150 bishops had protested against the institutional mandate; many priests joined in with the large expressions of anger and disagreement with government policy; letters of protest and public avowals of extreme disagreement occurred; but, unfortunately, in light of what happened, the protestations were not anywhere fully proportionate to the titanic nature of the tremendously overt aggression crudely manifested by the State, by the authoritarian Hobbesian Leviathan.

The entire Catholic Faith, being so explicitly and unreservedly pro-life, was, in effect, then openly and consciously spat upon with malice in no uncertain terms. Thus, rationally compared to the response that ought to have greatly ensued, these pronouncements were rather tepid and timid, though some courageous clerics, admittedly, did substantially respond. The issues are, thus, grave and compelling.

And yet, the NCCB and other such clearly prominent organs of the Church have still not called for any vigorous, national Catholic action. Actions speak louder than words. Where is, for instance, the needed and magnificent clarion call for, literally, (many) millions of the faithful to heartily crowd the streets of Washington, DC? No action. There is the old proverb of two different ways to go: You say so much that I can’t hear you; you do so much that you deafen me.

The bishops seek not to deafen the ears of tyranny. Thus, where is the now extremely required Catholic action? Answer: It does not exist. Many significant actions that should happen, including such a mass formal protest at the nation’s political center, will not occur.

As an added factor are the millions of self-hating Catholics mainly allied to the Left; millions more are indifferent ones, and there are surely the lackadaisical “cultural” Catholics; so, 70 million baptized people do not, in fact, make up much of any solidly substantial majority of the faithful; in addition, the Latin Mass Community is, regrettably, too small, marginalized, despised, ridiculed, disregarded, and powerless, though a hard core of believers.

Unfortunately, due to the continuous proclivity of most of the hierarchy to want to keep the valued tax-exempt status so that the bishops, meaning most of them, can have rather fairly lavish retirements in this country, there has been de facto acceptance of the suppression of Catholicism and, as one would logically think, its attendant evil consequences. Money is the terrene or mundane gospel that attracts the actual and constant attention of most of the hierarchy, not any secularly disvalued and non-cash spiritual principles, which could be guessed.

When one dances with the Devil, however, one ought to expect being burned. Slowly but surely, though sometimes rapidly, the deliberate and abject failure of the basically corrupt hierarchy to assert requisite spiritual authority against the State has resulted in necessarily sapping and, thus, cognately enervating whatever (residual?) authority and spiritual leadership potential that ought (still) to have existed.

But, so much had and is increasingly conceded to the civil authorities and powers, as in, historically speaking, the days of England’s rotten King Henry VIII, such that cowardice is the general rule and not at all the exception. How, nonetheless, can this be easily proven as a substantial and confirmed fact?

Although it is easily estimated that over 10,000 times more people were arrested in the Right-to-Life Movement demonstrations in America than those arrested during the entire history of the Modern Civil Rights Movement, the observed utter and noted abject failure of the degenerate and immoral hierarchy to back up vigorously such action led to the Right-to-Life Movement’s failure to change public opinion. Abortion-on-demand remains, therefore, a validated secular sacrament since Roe v. Wade back in 1973.

For that and many other cowardly acts of the hierarchy, most of the bishops were and are destined for Hell, (assuming no repentance, of course, prior to death). They are, in deserved retribution, reaping the cruel crops they themselves had vaingloriously planted by their ever gross, Machiavellian acceptance of relativism, subjectivism, and endless knavish compromise, meaning capitulation, to the State, to the aggressive Hobbesian Leviathan. With justice, St. Jerome had well stated that the floor of Hell is littered with the skulls of bishops.

As a result of a failed NCCB, the persecution of the Church will not just continue but so increase, more dramatically, in the years to come. Individual Catholics and priests are destined to suffer, therefore, as a both direct and indirect consequence of the pure evil deliberately encouraged by the bishops in that one can perceive that a militant, public-sector secularism as an ideology has been largely unopposed.

It now races, triumphantly, from one great victory to another knowing that the disgusting hierarchy is morally weak, inherently degenerate, spiritually bankrupt, and contemptuously corrupt. In short, all that and more practically define the integral nature of the NCCB.

The Church-State struggle has, definitely, become lopsided in solid favor of the State, the secular order, because as Big Government, meaning statism or tyranny, grows, all else, thus, shrinks more and more. Crescively, the Federal government assumes further amounts of power until almost nothing will be left that can stand up against it; Society, Culture, Church, etc. become completely subordinate to the will of the State.
As Benito Mussolini put it, (in translation) as his infamous/famous Fascist maxim: Everything is of the State, All belongs to the State, Nothing is Outside the State. It should not be an ultimate surprise that, finally, totalitarianism, by whatever euphemism, fundamentally holds sway, meaning as to the final purpose, the end, of what gets called Big Government.

The attempted centralization and amassment, monopolization and engrossment, of all power in the State is the final ideological goal involved toward the demonic construction of the New Eden on earth, Utopia (read: dystopia). It has been tried before and always failed: Nazi Germany, Stalinist Russia, Fascist Italy, Maoist China, Castro’s Cuba, etc. Though bloodshed, inevitably, will come, Obamaist America cannot, as is historically perceived, succeed; Utopia, the secularist’s New Eden, never arrives, only a version of Hell on earth.

Catholicism, under that tortured condition, logically fades away as to any sense of a substantial religion having public rights (an underground Church can develop), regardless of the US Constitution and its Bill of Rights. Statism is, therefore, quite real, not an illusion of some supposed rightwing crackpots; paper constitutions have never, in fact, stopped tyranny when it is vilely given its horrendous “freedom” to meanly act and immorally grow within a country, as is so true evidently today, meaning in the USA.

The Catholic hierarchy, regurgitating its own corrupt vomit, likes being a major political player and, furthermore, enjoys the tainted money coming from the Federal government, which, as is now seen vividly, comes at a rather high price, indeed.


However, Nancy Pelosi, acting as an ever piously self-described “devout Catholic” who strongly supports abortion, etc. and who has vivid contempt for this highly antiquated and ridiculous “conscience thing” of orthodox-traditionalist Catholicism, needs to be, as soon as possible, publicly excommunicated. The same is simply true for Joe Biden and, literally, many hundreds of other nominally “Catholic” politicians and officials that exist as Catholics in Name Only (CNO). [This cleansing of the Augean Stables will not, of course, happen.]

These contemptible CNOs ought to be put on notice that they do, by the way, stand already de facto excommunicate by their so avowedly anti-Catholic public positions and immoral pronouncements. This positively pro-Catholic and confident action has not/does not happen, of course; too much real money (what matters most in this material world) is at stake, as is well known.

All that has been noted, therefore, massively points out the integral problem qua contemptible failure of the deracinated hierarchy in not adamantly defending the Sacred Faith, its ever requisite doctrines and dogmas, against secularist attack and denigration; the State power has, thus, grown rather crescively confident by the broad and continuing obsequiousness, materialist-dominated servility, demonstrated by those truly gutless wonders, the bishops, the NCCB. What is needed?

Catholicism, in America, needs gallant valiant knights, not knaves, who will fight the good fight for the Sacred Faith, for the encouragement of Catholic dogmas and doctrines, against an increasingly hostile secular society, politics, and culture, meaning, of course, what exists as a post-Christian America.

While it is doubtful that the majority of the degenerate bishops, the shepherds leading their flocks astray, will stop this ugly submission or, rather, greatly submissive attitude, some may be hopeful that, nonetheless, a miracle may yet occur, if enough prayers and other things are done for rightly propitiating the Lord God Almighty.

Conclusion

Besides fear of losing tax-exempt status, however, the other troublesome problem, which is presently insoluble, is how the hierarchy has ideologically aligned itself solidly tooth and nail with the Obama Administration on a plethora of Democrat Party-oriented issues: helping and accommodating illegal aliens, expanding rapidly the national welfare system, getting ever more government grants for Catholic social-action (read: liberal and leftist) agencies that promote (directly and indirectly) liberalism and secularism, encouraging ever greater efforts on behalf of the nation’s profoundly entrenched poverty industry, etc. & etc.

But, the important last barrier to fall, as is imperatively desired by the Feminists and Sodomites (read: militant homosexuals), has to be the “conscience thing” as it has been referred to by detractors of orthodox-traditionalist Catholicism. One fears, however, that it depends upon what or, symbolically put, how much the NCCB is offered in exchange for any supposed Machiavellian bargain or compromise with the Obama Administration, regardless of the expected lawsuits that will develop, of course.

The Big Government agenda, the extravagant statism, of Obama and his ideological (read: authoritarian mindset) minions has, to all intents and purposes, been publicly blessed, many times over in the past, by the bishops and their many benighted followers. It would be certainly hypocritical and rather odd of them to really, actually, turn credibly against the nation’s triumphantly hubristic and egoistic Chief Executive and his overtly anti-Catholic, anti-Christian, and tyrannous proposals, programs, doctrines, etc.

What is most decisively pernicious, however, is that the Left really cannot, in the end, attack only religious liberty in isolation; all civil liberties and civil rights must be, due to their ideological logic, assaulted by these manifestly demonic forces of hate and clearly militant atheism including, e. g., free speech in that Catholic military chaplains were ordered not to read the bishops’ denunciatory letter to their congregations.

Sadly, no valid opposition—unsurprisingly—can, as such, be now presented, meaning within the leftist ideological context of the vast majority of those things within the power and money-obsessed agendas of the bishops, as has been above noted; this concerns, of course, the manifest ideological alignment so achieved by which the affairs of the Church, in this country, are to be harshly directed by the State.

And yet, this article will end, as it began, with at least the hope of a miracle that may dramatically save this nation from the righteous chastisement, the justified punishment (because of abortion, infanticide, euthanasia [three forms of human sacrifice to Satan], rampant pornography, abominable sodomy, feminism, divorce, artificial contraception, atheism, etc.), that it so tremendously deserves.

For only a genuine virtuous citizenry, an upright people, honorably merits the great glory of freedom.

Oh Lord!, turn away thy Wrath!
